FIRST HALF
In a game that started at a quick and energetic tempo,Arsenal FC(visitors) opened it’s campaigned against the host Manchester United with and early lead at the 26th minute scored by Monreal.A goal that initially involved Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Alexis and Mesut Ozil who finally penetrated in the middle finding Oxlade-Chamberlain who slipped the ball through for the onrushing Monreal who hummered the ball past David de Gea making it 1-0 in favor of Arsenal.
However,the the advantage would last three minutes.Di Maria received the ball from Valencia on the right and worked the ball onto his left foot to Rooney who gave Manchester Utd an equalizing goal at the 29th minute.
SECOND HALF
Five minutes into the second have,Arsenal was dealt a blow as Oxlade-Chamberlain withdrew after clutching his hamstring as he engaged Marcos Rojo.Aaron Ramsey replaced the winger On the other end,Welbeck marked his return to Old Trafford by scoring the winning goal just after an hour into the game in the 61st minute.This happened as Valencia dallied on the ball midway his own half before underhitting a backpass to De Gea.Welbeck would then spring on,beating Gea to the ball before knocking it beyond him .

Arsenal’s jubilant 9,000 traveling fan were with no doubt treated to a funfair as they watched their gallant warriors thrashing their long time foes at home.
Arsenal’s victory booked a return to Wembley for a last four clash with either Reading or Bradford City, who are replaying their quarterfinal tie next Monday.

At the end of the match,Arsenal’s Bellerin and Ramsey had been shown the yellow card while Manchester’s Rojo,Herrera,Maria,Young,Fellaini and Januzaj bagged yellow cards as Maria was yet again booked wit h a red card after shoving Michael Oliver after the referee had booked the Argentine for simulation.
